For 10 days (May 8th to 18th, 2025), the 18th mission of Axion Hellas brought medical care, educational and cultural programs, as well as critical infrastructure projects to six outlying islands of the Aegean: Fournoi Korseon, Thymaina, Patmos, Nisyros, Chalki, and Folegandros.

A dedicated team of 172 volunteers, mostly doctors of all medical specialties , offered their time and effort to make sure that the locals received proper medical care, one that in most cases is difficult to find and in others even, non-existing. Also teachers, artists, crews with organizational skills, skippers etc, played a significant role in making this and every mission, possible.
Children and adults of the local communities participated in educational programs and cultural activities. Stray animals were vaccinated, microchipped and cared for. Equally important were the infrastructure projects such as the construction of playgrounds in schools, the renovation of basketball, football and volleyball courts , enhancing the daily lives of local people.
