Design Rationale
According to mythology, Anafi owes its name to the fact that it emerged from the waters of the Aegean at the request of Apollo, to provide refuge for the storm-tossed Argonauts.
Serifos was apparently a very important place for our ancient ancestors, likely due to its rich subsoil, and is thus referenced in various myths of antiquity. Specifically, two very significant heroes of ancient Greek mythology are associated with the island, the cunning Odysseus and Perseus.
It is also said that in the “Cave of the Cyclops,” beneath Psaropyrgos, the gigantic Cyclopes, sons of the sea god Poseidon, dwelled. They were the first to develop civilization, exploiting the mineral wealth of Serifos. This perspective is supported by the existence of remnants of the “Cyclopean” walls in the area of Liomantra.
The creative agency Today Design Studio drew inspiration from the rich heritage of the Aegean islands and captured these values in elegant and unique designs. They designed and curated the branded gifts exclusively given to the customers and travelers of Cyanos Yachting, and we are very pleased with this collaboration.
